1980 – The beginning of a new decade that started turbulently. Pope John Paul II drove through Cologne in his Popemobile, while Queen Elizabeth II roared to Lemgo in a black Rolls Royce. A small colorful cube enchanted a whole generation that danced to the sound of the Neue Deutsche Welle.
